My husband listened to me! He actually listened! This is what I wanted for so long, for him to pick me a birthday present because he actually listened to me tell him something I liked, and he remembered and he bought it for me!
On Sunday night we were talking about a book store in Oakland called DeLauer's. I told him that if I could I would go and buy one of every harlequin book they had, they are my favorite and I have only read a few that they carry. He said"how much would that cost" "about 40$" was my reply. Then I fell asleep.
Fast forward to Tuesday and I am picking him up at the bus stop. He has a little paper bag in has and I say "Whats that" "Just some candy is his reply" so OK, candy, keep it, I don't need it. Fast forward after dinner that night. I went up to him and was talking to him, he said something I didn't like so I walked away. He then starts calling me "Boo, come back, Boo, come back" and I replied "No" so he came to me with that same little bag in his hand and handed me a card "Awww thanks, but you forgot to sign it!" then he hands me the bag of candy! My thought: great candy, so you want me to be fatter! I look in the bag and I think wow this doesn't look like candy... I pull it out and it is none other then one of the many harlequin romances that I wanted to purchase from DeLauer's!
What a sweet guy! He actually listened!
